I captured this view of the El Misti volcano rising behind a salt lake, framed by a group of llamas grazing in the foreground pasture. The deep blue sky provides a clean contrast to the dark volcanic slopes and the bright white crust of the lake bed. It is an incredibly quiet and characteristic Andean landscape, making it one of my absolute favorite spots to return to whenever I visit the region.
